Boyce Precision Engineering have now received a positive recommendation for the AS9100 standard. BPE have been working towards AS9100 accreditation for over 9 months. Aaron Furphy (Quality Manager) said; “I am very happy and pleased to announce that Boyce Precision Engineering have achieved this positive recommendation. This is just one of the stepping stones to help drive continual improvement; and boost Boyce Precision Engineering’s competitiveness in the aerospace engineering sector.”

The certification is pending and will be approved in the next 3-4 weeks. This certification will open doors to new business; and will help them meet their goal of gaining the SC21 Bronze Award in July 2016.

At Boyce Precision Engineering we provide various components and services into the pharmaceutical sector in Northern Ireland. We focus on tablet packing machines and scientific testing equipment. As part of our SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies) and 5S project; we have completed one of the tasks to ensure all workbenches hold all tools required for all jobs, and that there is an individual place for each tool to go.

These shadow boards help speed up production time by reducing the amount of time spent looking for tools and equipment for a job.

Tyco BMW rider Guy Martin has joined the exclusive 132mph club at the 2015 Isle of Man TT, director of Boyce Precision Engineering George was onsite at the IOM when Guy set the stunning lap speed.
